So the Honors Program hosts a trip up to the Rim Rock Ranch near Cody every year. I went with them. We left Thursday and got back Sunday. Actually I rode up with a friend from Lovell, but it was a blast. We got to stay in log cabins and had a main lodge where we ate and had all sorts of fun. There was also a jar that seemed to never run out of chocolate chip cookies, (though one night we stayed up telling stories and getting to know each other and managed to empty the jar!). They weren't comparable to the ones I got in the mail, though. :) We went to Yellowstone. I've been there quite a few times, but it was the trip there that was the best. I couldn't explain, however, because it was one of those "you had to be there" times. We also went to the Buffalo Bill Museum and I have also been there more times than I can count. So I was able to pretty much be a tour guide. hehe There was also a hot tub and a game room (with pool, ping pong, fooseball, etc.). On Saturday, we went for a hike. Well, it was more like a stroll, but our leader, the Honors President: Duncan, is old so it was a hike for him. We went up this trail for about 45 minutes and when we got to the top I wasn't even tired. Duncan turned back and took about five people with him. The rest of us continued up this ledge, which was a much more fullfilling hike. We got to the top and the non-Wyomingites took lots of pictures. It was neat. All of those students were really fun to be around. Oh, while I was up on top, I found a really old match case. I thought it would be cool to bring home. But when we got back to the lodge, I open it and inside were discharge papers from the navy. It was a discharge from serving in WW2. How cool is that! Anyway, I gained a lot of new friends. One of them is from Iraq. He, Ali, is awesome and hilarious. He also taught us how to count to 10 in arabic. Neat, huh? Well, I have some studying to do, so tata for now
